Derakhshan Alborz Yarns and Threads
began its operations in the 1980s and 1990s under its former name, Derakhshan Behrang Yarns and Thread. The company initially focused on the production and distribution of braided cords and elastic bands. It later expanded its activities by adding an overlock thread production line.

Since 2015, the company has launched a polypropylene thread production line, which currently constitutes the core of its operations.
